Networking plays a fundamental role in the growth and success of many businesses and for Tom Payne and Sarah Mansell their active participation in Sterling Networking has been instrumental in growing business relationships throughout Gloucestershire.
Tom's role in Sterling Networking
Tom leads the Gloucester and Stroud Breakfast groups, which convene every other Friday at 6:45 AM and every other Thursday at 6:45 AM respectively. These sessions offer local businesses an opportunity to connect, share insights, and generate referrals in a structured yet relaxed environment. The meetings are held at venues such as the Holiday Inn in Barnwood and The Old Lodge in Minchinhampton, providing accessible locations for attendees.
Sarah's engagement in Tewkesbury
Sarah, as Deputy Group Leader, supports the Tewkesbury Breakfast group, meeting every other Friday at Hilton Puckrup Hall Hotel. This group is known for its dynamic atmosphere, where members engage in discussions over a hearty breakfast, aiming to build long-lasting business relationships.
A great start
To alleviate the concerns of newbie networkers, Sarah writes: "I actually had networking anxiety until I joined the Sterling Tewkesbury sessions. I really love the group! Everyone involved has been so friendly and welcoming. Naturally some have moved on, althouhg the new members have fitted in straight away, as if they have been there since the start."
The group all support each other and have been able to refer individuals and businesses across all of the groups, to aid growth. Sarah confirms: "I can guarantee that if I wake up not feeling motivated that day, I’m on a high once I’ve left the group! We have also gained great clients through Sterling, which adds to being part of a great, business-focused network."
Benefits of participation
Engaging with Sterling Networking groups has allowed Tom and Sarah to:
• Expand professional networks: Connecting with a diverse range of professionals across various industries.
• Generate referrals: Building trust within the community leads to valuable business opportunities.
• Collaborate with local businesses: Sharing knowledge and resources to support mutual growth.
• Enhance community involvement: Contributing to the local economy by supporting fellow businesses.
Looking ahead
Both Tom and Sarah continue to advocate for the power of networking and encourage other local businesses to participate in these groups. Their involvement underscores Abaqus Ltd's commitment to fostering a supportive business community in Gloucestershire.
